1984 4X100 Meter Relay Team

The girls 4X100 meter relay team in 1984 was ranked 9th in the East Coast by the USA Today track poll. The relay team placed 6th at the Penn Relays, and came in 2nd at the New York State Meet. The relay team ran a 48.9, which was a Dutchess County record.

The relay team won All-League, All-County and All-State honors and was anchored by All-American sprinter Dorothy Vereen.

To this day, the relay team's accomplishments rank among Beacon's most prestigious and finest, not equaled in Track and Field.

Dorothy Vereen, Rahmah Gray, and Sonia Johnson went to the States in individual events placing 1st, 2nd and 6th respectfully in 1985.
