Brian Plimley

Class of 1991

Brian Plimley was the most prolific baseball player Beacon High School ever produced. He played four years of varsity baseball of which those teams appeared in three sectional finals and won four league championships and one sectional championship.

Brian Plimley's pitching commandment: "thou shall not walk to first base". Brian struck out 322 batters while only walking 40.

His career pitching record was 38 wins and 8 loses with a 2.04 ERA. In addition Brian's career batting average was .409 with 21 home runs and 109 RBIs.

Brian was All Section (3 years), All League (4 years), and a Poughkeepsie Journal All Star (4 years). He was named Poughkeepsie Journal's Pitcher of the year twice, the teams Most Valuable Player three times and in 1991 the Conference "B" Pitcher of the Year. Brian was also a member of the Empire State Games baseball team which won a silver medal.
