Evan Whitson

Class of 1992

Evan Whitson played four years of varsity boys soccer, where he earned many honors. After graduating Beacon High School, Evan went on to play soccer at Virginia Wesleyan College.

At Virginia Wesleyan, Evan set the school career goal record with 56 and the school most career points record with 148 ( 56 goals, 36 assists). In 1995 he led Virginia Wesleyan to a 20-1-1 record. He was Player of the Year for Division I and II in the state of Virginia and earned All American honors. Evan also played in the College Select All Star game.

In 1997, Evan went on to play professional Indoor soccer for the Huntsville Fire, where he was the league's third leading scorer. Evan finished his professional soccer career in the National Soccer League for the Buffalo Blizzard.
