Killy
excelled in football, basketball, and baseball, but his accomplishments
on the baseball diamond truly earned him this honor. He is most remembered
for his slick defensive play at shortstop and the offensive firepower
he provided the Bulldogs. Killy had a phenomenal senior year:Batting
.471, 10 home runs, 45 RBI's, 33 runs scored. His 49 hits and 12 doubles
were school records. In 122 plate appearances, he struck out only
3 times. He led the varsity baseball team to two league championships
and two Sectional final appearances. Awards were plentiful as Killy
made All-Leaque, All-Section, and was a Dutchess County and Poughkeepsie
Journal All-Star for his success that senior season. He also was an
All-League selection in both football and basketball.
