Lee
Radford was best remembered for his many tape measure home runs during
his 2 years of varsity baseball. Lee slugged twenty-five round-trippers,
a Beacon High School record. Lee was productive on the mound as well.
He finished with a career mark of 13-4. During his junior year, Lee
averaged .366 with 14 home runs (another school record) and 36 RBI's.
For his efforts, Lee was named Poughkeepsie Journal "Player of
the Year" and was a member of the All-Section team. Lee helped
propel the baseball team to Beacon High School's first baseball league
championship and Sectional final appearance. Lee also played on the
varsity football team for 2 years.
