The Beacon City School District network design is based on the concept that learning needs to continue outside the school day. The district which consists of 4 elementary schools, middle school, high school, Central Administration Building and Bus Garage are connected by high speed fiber optic cable back to the District Network Center. This over time will give us the ability to collaborate as on campus. Our staff and students have been provided accounts to the data network which can be accessed from anywhere 24 / 7. A web based e-mail system has been employed using an Exchange Server and Microsoft Outlook. Our new High School boosts a 2 Gig backbone between its 8 state of the art wiring closets. Almost 400 Dell computers are located throughout the building for easy access.
